Paint jobs about 8 years old and also in good shape. It has all the signature goodies of that era. I am in the process of putting new carpet in it. That is the only spot of rust, or ex rust on the entire truck period. Heater box and blower motor need installed. The undercarriage is consistent with that, as there is nothing more than the surface rust you would expect to see on a truck this age. As I understand it, the truck was a California truck, and was an older resto.
She doesn't need a thing to be a nice daily drive. It is a fully loaded Silverado with a strong 400 small block, and a nice shifting turbo 400 automatic. Motor runs strong, starts everytime. It has nice sounding duals on it also. The inside of the bed is almost perfect with the exception of some very light surface rust.
If you're looking for a Honda Accord or Toyota Camry, this is not the truck for you. This was never a work trucks. I found a set, and added them to the truck. I suspect the carpet got wet and caused a rust spot. However, it was not in the best mechanical shape.
It will always need something. Everything that has been done professionally, and is just how I would do it. It was very aesthetically similar to what it is now. New floor pans have been put in but I can not understand why. This is not a daily driver. Truck is not a show truck but a super nixed well keep patina truck and a great driver. Ac blows ice cold, no leaks, uses no oil and I drive it daily 80 mph and it gets about 12 miles pg. Heater and ac controls need hooked up. This truck is a one family owned truck with only 86,551 actual miles on it. The tread on the tires is like new but they have dry rot cracks. So, at that point, I parked it, and started addressing several issues. If you're familiar with these trucks, you know what you're looking at, and how rare they have become. I would hop in and drive this truck anywhere. I drove the truck daily and everything I mean everything on the truck work so you do not have to ask that question.
