The dealer replaced the door and panel wires. It is actually easy to do and takes only about 15 minutes per door. While parked, the rear sliding doors closed independently and had to be forced open. The vehicle was not repaired. Safety problem with 1 and 3 year old that need to have doors locked while vehicle is in motion. Oddly enough, later that day, the problem somehow solved itself.

You have to do this just a little carefully because the thing it does is move a little brass button up and down, so the slider has to go on around the brass button. The only way to unlock the doors was manually with the key.
As a result the power mechanism which seals the door will cycle over and over until someone manually opens the door and then pulls it shut. The big seller point from the car dealers were about the sensor and see this and see how it stops. The doors also could not be locked manually. So if I were in a emergency situation and I need to lock or unlock my doors I would not be able to in time therefore I think this is a huge safety issue. The keep working it with screwdriver until freed up.
To cheat on this, you may want to pull the panel on the opposite door to see how everything is supposed to look. The vehicle was not repaired. Upon attempting to open the vehicle's sliding doors, the sliding door on the driver's side failed to open. I played around with it enough to realize the lock mechanism isn't unlocking all the way. The contact stated that both the rear driver and passenger side sliding doors failed to lock or unlock. They offered me the option of replacing the door actuator which i declined.
The dealer was not notified. Then, working from the top, start taking off the door molding. The key fob lock mechanism will lock the rear door hatch only. I had one die under warranty. Be careful and not let move very far because you have the wiring harness still torn apart, but you should be able to test the door by hitting the button.

Bought this van off show room floor for all the features --now can't even get my grandkids in and out when taking them somewhere.
Motor kicks in and pulls the door the rest of the way shut. Looking for options outside of multiple visits to dealer. The power locks also did not work from the interior of the vehicle. The contact stated that the passenger side sliding door was unable to be locked either manually or by using the fob. The dealer would not assist. No one, I repeat no one should ever willingly put another persons children at risk! Neither keys remote feature works to lock or unlock the van, although they both cause the lights to flash as usual. Door slides open fully, does not catch in open position, then closes on you.
The key fob locking system does not work to lock these 4 doors. Since you found a way to open the door, that link did not pop out of the clip, but it could be slightly bent in which case it won't move the right amount to work the latch. Could be latch, linkage, actuator or wiring problems. Aside from the two prior incidents, the lock knobs have seemed ok. It does, however, remain locked once you close the door. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure.
