True enough, I can still see elements of the same kind of character in this film, but I think the story is a good one. A pacifistic Rhode Island state trooper who's too nice for his own good develops dissociative identity disorder, with his alter ego being the complete opposite of everything he is in manner. I must say that I love this kind of comedy and can't wait until the next Farrelly movie. Watching him wrestling with a cow, beating himself up and getting drop kicked down a hill is an absolute blast, the man is king of physical comedy. A great comedy that deserves a position on the top among the best of its genre. There were easily enough laughs throughout the movie to keep me entertained, and Jim Carrey was his usual talented self.

I've always loved this one. In this book series, Hitch is a very large man but Mortinson does such an excellent job of bringing the character to life he seems like a better fit that the book image. In addition, his papers are striking, especially that of Mortensen, who gives life to a rough and funny Italian American with a strong accent. The advertisements did the film no justice, but you should see this anyway because it is exceptionally funny. This movie like all the other Farrelly movies,take up issues which most people would find shocking. They have been partners for so long - and been in enough life-and-death situations together - that they have no need for long conversations; a nod here, a facial expression there, and a small gesture are all they really need to communicate. He is otherwise mild-mannered and non confrontational until somebody or something pushes him a little too far. In short, this is a 5-star film and a movie I highly recommend. He seemed like the same character in just about every film.
